Acropolis of Lindos
Λίνδος
The sanctuary of Athena Lindia crowns the Acropolis of Lindos on Rhodes. Directly below the temple, at the foot of the rock’s west slope, lies a 4th-century BC theatre for 1,800 to 2,000 spectators, with most of its seats cut into the rock. The theatre is on UNESCO’s Tentative List as part of ‘Ancient Greek Theatres’.
