Alacahöyük Archaeological Site

Alacahöyük

Occupied without a break from the Late Chalcolithic to the Ottoman period, the mound held the royal tombs of Hattian rulers in the Early Bronze Age and later an important Hittite cult and art centre; its sphinx gate and relief orthostats stand in place.
